The Hustler ZEON is the world’s first zero-turn all-electric riding mower.

| August 4, 2010

GREENSBURG, Kan. - Excel presented Greensburg Greentown with a Hustler ZEON, the world’s first zero-turn all-electric riding mower.

This machine has an average run-time of 80 minutes before it needs recharging. Not only is its technology cutting-edge, it is also touted to be a robust workhorse. There are zero emissions produced by this mower, and it is very low maintenance and much quieter than your typical gas mower. Because it is electric, there are no belts, fluids or filters to mess with. The mower technology was four years in the making. GreenTown test-drove the mower on delivery day and said it is a very easy-to-use, intuitive machine.

Greensburg GreenTown said it is grateful to its neighbors from Excel who came to town on July 13 to make the presentation and take a tour of Greensburg. They welcomed Andrew Braun, marketing manager; Dennis Reimer, corporate photographer; Shelley Lujano, marketing/public relations; and Aaron Miller, graphic designer. Excel is a family-owned business that employs over 350 people both here in Kansas and around the United States, with a presence distribution presence in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Chile, South Africa and several European countries. A network of more than 1,200 dealers carries their products.
