BRANCHVILLE, N.J. – The Concrete Stone and Tile Corp introduced the newest piece to the Mono-Cast product line. CST says this permeable paver is the latest and most advanced paver it has to offer. Permeable pavers provide styling and protection against storm water runoff. This protection allows for the readmission of water into the ground and the natural re-charge of the aquifer. Additionally, CST’s permeable pavers help protect the environment from dangerous pollutants in storm water run-off.

Permeable pavers combine a layer of solid concrete pavers separated by joints filled with small stones. When water enters the joints between the pavers, they reach an open-graded base-crushed stone layer with no small or fine particles. The void spaces among the crushed stone store water and infiltrate it back into the soil sub grade. The stones in the joints provide permeability, and the base filters storm water and helps reduce pollutants.

Federal, state and local sustainable site regulations aim to lessen the environmental impact caused by increased runoff from roofs and pavements. Permeable pavers solve both of these problems, reducing runoff and pollutants. Furthermore, permeable pavers recharge ground water and help reduce downstream erosion and flooding.

CST’s Permeable Paver can be installed manually or mechanically. The paver meets ADA standards for opening size, and can also handle extremely heavy traffic loads, making the permeable paver perfect for heavy-duty truck loading areas and parking lots. The styles include Roman Cobble Green, Munich Green, Turfstone and Aqua Pave.
