SPEONK, NEW YORK – The Landscape Materials Information Service (LMIS) announces the launch of its newest online marketing tool: a self-managed, shared Specials webpage. The Specials page allows members to upload images and descriptions of their products along with details regarding the seller’s terms and relevant contact information. The items listed by each seller are then featured on a dedicated Specials page shared with items listed from other sellers. The overall effect is an online showcase of green industry related items for sale in one centralized location on LMIS’ website.

Matt Gettinger, President of Landscape Materials Information Service said, “The use of this tool will aid the small to midsize company looking for an affordable and efficient way to communicate their product offering to others in the trade. “

A sign of the times, Gettinger said that buyers are now demanding real-time images of how a nursery grower’s product looks before a sale is made. “In the nursery and landscape trade, buyers are now demanding digital images of the trees before they buy. We wanted to create a platform for growers to use that is simple, intuitive, and one that each member can manage directly. LMIS’s newest pages really cater to this trend” says Gettinger.

Registering as a basic member for LMIS is free.

The site at this time is open to all nursery and landscape trade professionals or those learning the trade.
