John Deere hires new VP of global platform division

John May, formerly the manager at Deere's Dubuque works, takes responsibility for producing the company's turf management equipment.

John May has left his post as factory manager of John Deere Dubuque Works, taking a position as vice president of Deere's Global Platform – Turf & Utility, Agriculture and Turf Division.
 
He began last month, according to the company's Web site. May is responsible for product management, manufacturing, and engineering for the turf and utility platform of products for Deere.
 
May started his career in leadership with Deere in 1997 at John Deere Health Care, the former Commercial & Consumer Equipment Division, and then served as managing director of Deere's China operations before moving to Dubuque.
