WAUCONDA, IL- Registration for the 2010 Mid-America Horticultural Trade Show (Mid-Am) is now open on the show’s Web site at www.midam.org.

The Web site has been updated to reflect the 2010 show theme, “Sustainability for a Greener Tomorrow” and contains details about Mid-Am’s programs and events. The show, scheduled for Jan. 20 - 22, 2010 at McCormick Place West in Chicago, is expected to attract thousands of buyers and professionals from all corners of the green industry who come to Mid-Am for the high level of peer interaction in addition to buying and learning opportunities.

The Web site home page includes a “What’s New?” section which is updated regularly. Visitors are encouraged to check back often to the Mid-Am Web site for updates to the program. The registration page includes the show hours, pricing for the trade show and the variety of educational options, and a link to the online registration system, making it easy to understand registration options.

Those planning to attend Mid-Am are encouraged to register early in order to save money. The early rate for attending the trade show only is $20 if registering by Jan. 15, 2010. Early rates for the educational conferences vary; the Conference early registration deadline date is Dec. 28, 2009. After that date, higher fees apply.

Educational options include the Pre-Conference Workshop on Tues., Jan. 19, sponsored by the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association and the Illinois Green Industry Association; the Midwinter Conference on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 20 and 21; and the new Mentoring Roundtable for industry managers and business owners that features six timely discussion topics moderated by industry veterans on Wed., Jan. 20. Mid-Am also features industry training classes from Mid-Am Education Partners, including ILCA Latino Illinois Pesticide Spray License Training presented in English with Spanish translation, and two classes in the Green Roof Professional Program presented by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities. All educational registration options include a badge to the trade show for all three days of the event.

The Mid-Am Web site also includes a video produced during the 2009 Mid-Am Trade Show last January in Chicago, which features attendees explaining in their own words the benefits of attending the Mid-Am Trade Show.
