BUFFALO GROVE, ILL. – Profile Products has announced that its manufacturing facility in Blue Mountain, Miss., was recognized by the Tippah County Development Foundation as the Industry of the Year. The award was presented to Profile’s CEO John Schoch and Plant Manager Dwight Schipke at a banquet honoring Tippah County local businesses and industry leaders.

“We were pleased to receive this award, and it’s a testament to the hard working employees we have at this facility,” Schipke said. “We shared the news with everyone at the plant – everyone was proud to learn we were honored in this way.”

The 24th annual Tippah County Awards Banquet recognized local business owners, volunteers and community leaders for contributions in the county. It was the first time Profile was named Industry of the Year. This year’s banquet was attended by more than 300 people, including a number of Profile employees from the Blue Mountain facility.

“We are the oldest industry still operating in this county, dating back to 1948,” Schipke explained. “Tippah County has a lot of excellent businesses, and we’re pleased to be recognized as one of them.”

Profile Products also has manufacturing facilities in Conover, N.C., Limestone, Tenn., and Sanger, Calif. In 2007, the Blue Mountain facility was recognized for reaching 500,000 consecutive hours without a lost-time accident – a streak that still continues and currently stands at 705,000 consecutive hours.
