| January 4, 2010

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – Spring Meadow Nursery hired Ryan McGrath, a 10-year veteran in public relations and marketing communications as marketing and public relations specialist.

The Grand Haven, Mich.-based wholesale propagation nursery said McGrath will assist with the company’s public relations and media relations, in addition to developing catalogs, newsletters, press releases, direct mail and other marketing materials to promote the Proven Winners shrub line.

McGrath was previously a senior account manager at a leading Michigan-based public relations firm. With the addition of McGrath, the Proven Winners ColorChoice marketing department now includes five professionals.

Proven Winners ColorChoice plans to launch two new products in early 2010, as well as expand availability for two products introduced in 2009.  The products include:
  • Invincibelle Spirit Hydrangea, new in 2010, the first-ever pink Annabelle hydrangea.
  • Bloomerang Lilac, new in 2010, a reblooming dwarf lilac with fragrant purple flowers.
  • Incrediball Hydrangea, launched in 2009, a new Annabelle hydrangea with strong stems and roughly four times as many flowers.
  • Lo & Behold Blue Chip Buddleia, introduced in 2009, a reblooming and non-invasive miniature Butterfly Bush.
