At this retreat, irrigation contractor leaders will gather for networking and team building events; to share ideas and concerns with like-minded professionals; and to help set strategic priorities for the Irrigation Association and its Contractor Common Interest Group.
Join us in Tucson, Ariz., and build professional and personal relationships with peers from across the country. Point of Connection is a great enabler of development, growth and good business. Other irrigation contractors may be experiencing the same challenges you are, and Point of Connection is your opportunity to make your thoughts known to IA leadership.
Balancing work and life is difficult and there are only so many hours in one day. The speed and quantity of information is overwhelming in today’s business climate. It is easy to lose sight of what really matters in the midst of ringing telephones and relentless e-mails. Join Dr. Larry Helms and other contractors as we zoom out, take a deep breath and work together to stay on the tightrope leading to the future.
Team Building & Ranch Activities
Trail Rides – Trail rides are an enjoyable desert experience for all ages and skill levels. Experience nature up close as you wind through mountain trails. Enjoy a variety of vegetation and fauna, including the giant saguaro cactus, prickly pear cactus, and an occasional roadrunner or deer. Point of Connection attendees will participate in a group trail ride Thursday.
Team Penning – Teamwork is the name of the game in this active, exciting sport! Work as part of a team of riders to separate your lucky-numbered cattle from the herd, and move them into a pen at the opposite end of the arena. You’d better be quick, because this is a game of speed. Point of Connection attendees will participate in this team building exercise Thursday.
Additional Activities – Bring the family and arrive early or stay late to take advantage of the numerous
resort activities at no additional cost.
Hiking – Tanque Verde Ranch offers outstanding guided hiking in the Saguaro National Park and the Coronado National Forest. Take in the rugged canyons and mountains of the Rincon and Catalina ranges, enjoy the
desert wildlife and unique cacti, and encounter hidden waterfalls and other natural splendors.
Fishing – The Ranch has a 1.5 acre catch-and-release fishing lake. Bluegill sunfish, largemouth bass, and channel catfish provide plenty of action and sport for both experienced and novice anglers. Tackle and bait are provided. Fishing instruction is available several days each week.
