Building a partnership with suburban lifestyle center Crocker Park has helped Barnes Nursery, based in Hudson, Ohio, gain exposure for its design/build division. Here, Julie Barnes Foster shares the keys to this successful relationship.

Mutual Goals. Barnes Nursery and Crocker Park management share a vision to create an amazing and beautiful horticultural environment, adding to its shopping and entertainment experience.

Garden Resource. The plants at Crocker Park are labeled, and showy displays attract visitors who treat the property like an ongoing flower show. Barnes Nursery provides the gardening arm so the shopper can learn more about and source the plants and combinations they admire.

Engaging Customers. By presenting creative displays of plants, Barnes Nursery uses “the power of plants” to lure in new clients.
