Jay Young joins PBI-Gordon

He will be responsible for planning, developing and directing herbicide product strategies and marketing programs.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The employee-owners of PBI-Gordon have announced that Jay Young has joined its marketing team as herbicide product manager. Young will be responsible for planning, developing and directing product strategies and marketing programs for the company’s herbicide brands.

Young brings almost 20 years of experience in the professional turf industry to PBI-Gordon. He was most recently global specialty solutions product manager at FMC Corporation. Prior to that, he was assistant superintendent and director of agronomy at several prominent golf courses, and was a territory manager for Harrell’s LLC.

“PBI-Gordon has earned a reputation for quality and service,” Young said. “We have some exciting innovations coming down the line. I’m excited to be a part of it.”

A St. Louis native, Young earned his Bachelor of Science from Auburn University, majoring in agronomy and soils, with an emphasis in turf grass management. He also earned an MBA from Webster University.
