Louisville, KY – GIE+EXPO offers a taste of what the 2018 show will be like with its new show preview video here.
In the video, Jerry Schill, president of Schill Grounds Management, shares his thoughts on the show and gives a preview of what will be featured at the 2018 event.
“I’ve been going to the GIE+EXPO in Louisville for the past 20 years. Every year we ask if the show floor will be open on Wednesdays for landscape companies like us,” Schill said. “Now that the answer is yes, and I know I can get in a day early starting on Wednesday at 3 p.m., that is awesome news.”
New for the 2018 GIE+EXPO, the indoor exhibits will open for everyone from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17., including a welcome reception on the show floor at 5 p.m. that day. Both indoor exhibits and the Outdoor Demonstration Area will be open Thursday and Friday for all industry members.
In addition, GIE+EXPO and Hardscape North America partnered to add a new combined keynote speech for the 2018 event. The speech will take place 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17. For the keynote speech, Dr. Robert Ballard, an undersea explorer who discovered the RMS Titanic more than 70 years after it sank in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, will share his stories of exploration, environmental discovery and leadership.
Also new for the 2018 show, the after-show-hours entertainment will kick off one night earlier on Tuesday night with the party rock band The Crashers. Wednesday and Thursday nights also feature headliners, including country/blues/rock/rap singer Colt Ford and country music star Jana Kramer.
GIE+EXPO takes place Oct. 17-19 in Louisville, Kentucky. Early-bird registration is now open and costs $15 through Sept. 6.
