If you're interested in learning from industry peers across the country, Marty Grunder has an opportunity for you.
The owner of Marty Grunder! Inc. has been running industry peer groups for more than 10 years. The ACE groups - Accountability Creates Excellence - are made up of landscape professionals from all over the United States, all eager to learn, share, explore and improve.
The groups get together three times a year. In addition to that, an Elite retreat is held once a year. This event gives all members an opportunity to get together for a unique hands-on experience.
Being a part of these groups doesn't just mean you learn new techniques and ideas to grow. The meetings also give you a chance to compare your company to similar ones from different parts of the U.S.
"I have been in Marty’s ACE group for over 10 years, and I can tell you, my ACE group is a large part of my life – both at work and not," said Lee Buffington, CEO, Turf Tamer. "Knowing that your challenges are not just yours, and being surrounded by growth leaders who all are just a phone call away is comforting. I look at this group as my trusted advisors that share their experience, drive financial metrics, and instill improvements within my team."
Industry members who qualify and are interested to learn more about the groups can attend a vetting meeting on Aug. 8-9 in Atlanta, Georgia. During the event, attendees will get:
- A look at a typical accountability meeting
- An org chart exercise that will help you look at your team in a whole new way
- A letter to send to your team upon returning from Atlanta that outlines the goals for the second half 2017 and recaps the first half of 2017
- A power point presentation to use in a company meeting to support the letter that is sent beforehand
Interested parties can complete the survey, found here, prior to 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21 to be considered. If you're selected, cost of the event is $395/person.
