LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Last week at GIE+EXPO 2010, Lawn & Landscape launched GIE Media’s Horticultural Scholarship Program, dedicated to providing educational scholarships and business internships for outstanding college students focused on leading in the green industry.
Lawn & Landscape’s parent company, GIE Media, is the leading media company serving professional horticultural markets through print, digital, interactive, face-to-face events and market research in the lawn, greenhouse, nursery, garden center and golf segments.
For every green wristband given away from its booth at the show, Lawn & Landscape donated $1 to the scholarship fund. In all, the magazine raised more than $3,000 over two and a half days.

Awards will be given to standout students at the 2011 OFA Short Course in Columbus, Ohio. Subsequent awards will be handed out at major green industry events throughout the rest of the year.
Industry companies and suppliers are encouraged to support the scholarship fund; any donations will be matched by Lawn & Landscape.
