ORLANDO, Fla. – The Irrigation Association’s Smart Irrigation Month Committee named the winners of the third annual Smart Marketing Contest during this year’s show.
The contest is designed to recognize the best efforts of companies in 2012 that promote Smart Irrigation Month. Contest winners were selected by a neutral panel of judges based on messaging, quality and creativity in four categories.
The 2012 contest winners are:
Contractor: ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance, Calabasas, Calif.
Manufacturer: The Toro Company, Riverside, Calif.
Distributor: CPS Distributors Inc., Westminster, Colo.
Affiliate: Municipal Water District of Orange County, Fountain Valley, Calif.
“This year’s contest winners truly embraced the Smart Irrigation Month mission,” said Derick Wright, president of The Source, an aftermarket parts supplier, who chairs IA’s Smart Irrigation Month Committee. “They are great examples of how we can educate end-users and promote the initiative. I’m looking forward to even more companies promoting Smart Irrigation Month and water-efficient irrigation in 2013.”
IA designated July as Smart Irrigation Month in 2006 to promote efficient watering practices, technologically advanced irrigation products and water conservation. The initiative encourages irrigation professionals to promote water efficiency to business partners, customers and water end-users.
