BOB-CAT – Exactly What You Need.
The BOB-CAT name was not always synonymous with mowers. Actually the BOB-CAT name was launched by the Wisconsin Marine Company, located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, which manufactured boat hoist equipment, steel piers, and underwater salvage equipment in the 1940’s. WI Marine Co moved from Pewaukee, WI to Lake Mills, WI and pioneered the manufacture of a two-stage snow thrower in the 1950’s. This product became well known as the BOB-CAT Snow Thrower in 12 snow-belt states and was the sole product manufactured by WI Marine Co for nearly two decades. It wasn’t until the 1960’s that the first mower was produced under the BOB-CAT name. Through the 60’s and 70’s…new BOB-CAT Mowers were developed from a small 12-inch trimmer to rotary mowers ranging from 21, 32 and 48 inches in cutting width and a full range of riding mowers. These new BOB-CAT products were unusually rugged in design and the quality of cut these mowers supplied was exceptional. BOB-CAT mowers were quickly accepted by professional landscapers and commercial markets serving golf courses, schools, parks and recreation areas, cemeteries, and larger landscapes. BOB-CAT mowers are still known for their ruggedness and superior cut today.
