Engage Agro USA, which registers, markets and sells turf and crop protection products in the United States, announced that longtime industry executive Mark B. Long has joined the company as turf business manager.

Long brings to Engage Agro USA his more than 30 years of experience in the lawn and turf care industry, with companies including The Scotts Company, New Frontier Lawn Care and Barefoot. Most recently, Long was a partner in the strategic consulting firm, Blue SkyGroug, where he served numerous clients in the green and pest control industries.

“Mark’s intimate and extensive knowledge in the turf management, pest care and landscape maintenance industries, as well as the long-held business relationships he has built throughout his career, make him the perfect fit for Engage Agro USA as we launch Fiesta bio-herbicide and future exciting, value-added products,” said Trevor Thorley, president of Engage Agro USA.

Long’s career has included a variety of roles including field/franchise development, service delivery and operations management, sales, acquisitions, and division and overall corporate leadership, among others. He holds an M.B.A. from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business and a B.A. in Business Administration from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University.

“I’m excited by the opportunity that working for this new, progressive and innovative company brings,” Long said. “The products, relationship model and service that Engage Agro USA provide will resonate well in the turf care industry.”
