CLEVELAND – Landscape lighting professionals will have the chance to learn more about landscape lighting by attending Kichler Lighting’s Certified Landscape Lighting Training Seminars. With four training courses to choose from, attendees ranging from novice landscape lighting specialists to industry veterans can earn credits toward the American Lighting Association’s (ALA) Certified Lighting Consultant designation.

During the courses, attendees discuss the basics of lighting installation, learn the differences between incandescent and LED systems, and discover how wattage and beam spread are selected. Fundamentals of electrical and voltage differences are also covered. Additionally, contractors will learn about the benefits of Kichler’s award-winning, energy-efficient Design Pro LED technology, including how to sell it, install it and how it can help grow their businesses.

Four different courses for a variety of skill levels are available throughout the year, including:

• Starter Course: Introduction to Landscape Lighting ($79)
This one-day seminar is designed for the beginner landscape lighting professional, or can serve as a great refresher for experienced pros. (Six ALA credit hours.)

• Intermediate Course: Hands-On LED Lighting Installation ($359)
This two-day hands-on LED landscape lighting seminar is designed for those professionals seeking to increase their knowledge and involvement with low-voltage LED landscape lighting.
(16 ALA credit hours.)

• Advanced Course: Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Troubleshooting ($149)
This one-day LED landscape lighting seminar is designed for installation professionals wishing to gain the knowledge and confidence to troubleshoot and repair faulty systems. A class exercise involves a series of different systems set-up with intentional flaws that students must identify and offer corrective solutions. The Kichler starter or intermediate course, or commensurate experience, is required for this seminar. (Six ALA credit hours.)

• Advanced Course: Advanced LED Lighting Design ($199)
This one-day LED landscape lighting seminar is designed for professionals wishing to improve the aesthetic designs of their landscape lighting installations. The Kichler starter or intermediate course, or commensurate experience, is required for this seminar. (Six ALA credit hours.)
