| April 20, 2010

The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) will host the second of its 2010 Regional Grounds Management Seminar & Site Visitation events in Boston on July 22-23. Headlining the event will be a behind-the-scenes tour of best practices at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox.

The schedule will include several site visits and seminars. In addition to the Fenway Park tour, other site visit destinations include Mount Auburn Cemetery and Arnold Arboretum. Sessions on crucial grounds management topics, such as invasive plants, hardscape options, green roof design and dealing with difficult people will provide attendees with valuable ideas for their grounds operations and useful information on managing a grounds crew. There will also be opportunities for grounds professionals to network with peers as well as representatives from green industry suppliers.

One of the best bargains in green industry education, the cost to attend the program is just $115 for PGMS members and $140 for other professionals. Schedule details, education program information and hotel details are already posted online. Visit http://www.pgms.org/2010RegionalBoston.htm for this information and more.

Launched in 2007, this series of seminars is designed to provide grounds managers with the hard-to-find opportunity to gain knowledge, ask questions, and network with others about challenges and issues specific to their profession.
