Rain Bird’s new reverse-flow HV Valve was developed to meet market demands but at price point that fits in with tight budgets. It comes with a compact 2.54” spin radius and fewer screws. The valve’s screws are also “captive,” meaning that they can be fully loosened with a Phillips, hex or flat-head screwdriver but not completely removed from the valve’s body. This feature eliminates the possibility of losing the screws somewhere in the landscape during installation or maintenance.If a valve failure should occur, the HV Valve’s reverse-flow design guarantees that it fails in the closed position to prevent flooding, water waste and landscape damage.
