NASHUA, N.H. – Lawn Dawg Inc. acquired Weed & Feed Professional Services.

Weed & Feed Professional Services is owned and operated by Robert Mann of Sandwich, Massachusetts. The existing operations will come under the name of Lawn Dawg. Once finalized, Lawn Dawg plans to relocate its Bridgewater branch to Plymouth, Mass., for a central location in its growing market. In addition, the merger will expand Lawn Dawg’s commercial services and customer base.

“I am very excited about partnering with an industry leader like Bob Mann,” says Jim Campanella, president of Lawn Dawg. “His knowledge, leadership and experience are valuable assets that help make Lawn Dawg a better company today. I look forward to working with Bob to improve our commercial presence, enhance our training programs, and continue our industry involvement at both the local and national levels.”

Campanella, who has more than 25 years of experience in the lawn care industry, founded Lawn Dawg in 1997. Last summer he partnered with a private investment group to grow Lawn Dawg throughout the Northeast and beyond. The company has branches in Portland, Maine; Litchfield and Nashua, N.H.; Woburn, Bridgewater and Hudson, Mass.; and Albany and Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Mann acquired ownership of the lawn care division of Weed & Feed, Inc. in September 2000. He is a Massachusetts Certified Pesticide Applicator and Certified Turfgrass Professional. Mann has more than years of experience in the lawn care industry and has been a member of the Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals (MALCP) and the Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA).
