MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. – The Grasshopper Company, a leader in the commercial mower market, has released the first mobile app for tablet technology specifically for landscape maintenance contractors.

“In a ‘me-too’ market, contractors need better data, information and marketing firepower to stand out from their competition,” says Ruthanne Stucky, Vice President of Marketing. “Grasshopper offers its customers more than just metal, and MOWmentum gives them the information they need to stand out from the pack.”

Grasshopper was the first company to successfully market zero-turn mowers to the commercial landscaper market, and it has continued its tradition of innovation by releasing MOWmentum. The app, available for free download in Apple app stores, provides grounds maintenance professionals valuable information to improve their businesses. New issues will be released quarterly, with relevant content for the respective season.

MOWmentum offers robust sharing functionality and a rich multimedia experience for readers. The premiere issue includes a checklist for morning rollout, fleet maintenance guide, mower and crew safety tips, alternative fuel-saving comparisons, insights on mulching and dethatching services and best practices demonstrated by the issue’s featured contractor. Through stories, videos and photo galleries, each issue aims to provide industry benchmarks and resources to assist contractors in their operations.
