The supplier of sustainable and water efficient irrigation solutions named Ossa national accounts director.

LONGMONT, Colo. – Irrigation Water Technologies America, Inc., a supplier of state-of-the-art sustainable and water efficient sub-surface irrigation solutions, appointed John Ossa national accounts director for the Colorado-based company.

Ossa's focus is to work with leading landscape architects, irrigation designers, consultants and contractors to position KISSS technology as the premier choice for landscape irrigation. In addition, Ossa will plan, execute and manage sales opportunities for key major sports complexes throughout the U.S.

“John’s experience within the landscape and irrigation field spans more than 20 years and covers many facets of the industry, from sales and business development to design, installation and efficiency expertise,” said James Bruce, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “John’s wealth of experience in the irrigation industry strengthens our leadership position in the industry and reinforces our commitment to innovation and providing the most efficient, water-saving solutions to our customers.”

Most recently Ossa was president of Irrigation Essentials, a consulting and contracting company assisting contractors, designers and property owners to develop efficient irrigation systems and ecological practices. He also serves as irrigation columnist for Lawn & Landscape and as a speaker at industry trade events.

Prior to Irrigation Essentials, Ossa served as president and chairman of the board of directors for Gardeners’ Guild Inc. (GGI), a $12 million award-winning landscape contract company. In just six years at GGI, Ossa doubled the value of the company and increased productivity and profitability. In addition to filling several other positions within the landscape irrigation industry, Ossa served on the “Water Smart Landscapes for California” Task Force responsible for initiating California Assembly Bill 2717 for efficient measures in landscape watering.

Ossa attended the Landscape Architecture Program at the University of California Extension, Berkeley, Calif. He holds a California landscape contractor license and certifications as a certified landscape professional, certified irrigation designer and certified irrigation auditor.
