Varieties traditionally bred in Europe are now available in the U.S.

| December 16, 2011

The Freelander Rose Collection, bred by Kordes, is now available from Greenhart Farms.

The Freelander Rose Collection consists of four different groupings as well as two new collections that will be tested.  These four groupings consist of multi-stemmed nostalgic garden roses, as well as traditional hybrid tea roses that come in a wide range of colors.

Also, a collection that produces rose hips called Fruitilia is available.  Fresh cut rose hips, which are the seed pods of roses, have seen an increase in demand in recent years.  Many of the Freelander Rose varieties contain features required by the floral design industry, including  long vase life, vigorous stem production and longer stem length.
These varieties have traditionally been produced in Europe but are now available from a rose propagator in the United States.

The Freelander Collection is available to order from your local Fred C. Gloeckner sales representative.
