Former Turfgrass Producers International Executive Director, Doug Fender died last week.  He served in the role from 1983-2004.

Den Gardner, who worked with Fender for many years, said:

"Doug was a loyal friend and business colleague for so many years. He was always one of the 'good guys.' All of us at TOCA were thrilled the year we selected him TOCA's Environmental Communicator of the Year several years ago. His passion for green was unparallelled. His sense of humor always brought joy to our lives. We all know this is a very difficult time for his family and friends, but know that Doug is enjoying his green spaces at another level."
