KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Drafix Software has introduced the PRO Landscape Companion, the first iPad app created specifically for professional landscape designers.

“PRO Landscape Companion will give our customers yet another way to design faster, close more sales, and improve their ability to compete in this tough market,” said Pete Lord, president of Drafix Software. “Landscape contractors, designers, architects and garden centers have been asking for a mobile solution and we are pleased to once again be the first to market with a solution for their needs.”

PRO Landscape Companion works in conjunction with PRO Landscape, Version 18. The app allows users to create a design from scratch on an iPad using a photo they’ve taken with the iPad’s built-in camera. Users then have the option to transfer the design to a computer and finish it in PRO Landscape. If the design has been started in PRO Landscape it can be transferred to the iPad to show to a customer, and make changes on the fly.

PRO Landscape Companion will also let users show their customers complete proposals, 3D movies and other design options created with PRO Landscape.

“I’ve used PRO Landscape for years and it’s improved my close rate to almost 100%,” said Aron Hoffman, Groundskeepers Landscaping. “I fully expect that now with the PRO Landscape Companion for iPad I’ll easily win every bid, and my customers will love it, and me.”

PRO Landscape Companion for iPad will be available in January for free in the Apple store. The app will be available on other tablets in the near future.
