Lazer Z

Beatrice, Neb. — Exmark today announced it will offer a new Air Ride seat option for its Lazer Z zero-turn rider models for 2014. The new seat design increases operator comfort by allowing adjustment for operators of virtually any weight.

The Air Ride seat design uses a pneumatic spring to suspend the rider, which is more easily adjustable than mechanical suspension systems.

According to Exmark Product Manager, John Swanson, the Air Ride seat was designed to complement the company’s mechanically-based suspension seats, offering easy adjustability to tailor firmness and support to operators of any weight.

“A number of our customers asked for a suspension seat that is more easily adjustable for rider weight, with the suspension benefits of the Comfort seat we introduced in 2013.

“The Air Ride seat is perfect for operations with numerous operators using one machine. And while the Air Ride seat doesn’t replace the patented four-way mechanical suspension we developed for our 2013 Comfort seat, it provides a substantial increase in operator comfort with easy adjustment for operators of varying weights.”

Swanson said Exmark spent more than two years developing, testing and refining the design of the Air Ride seat. In addition to testing to validate the concept, the Exmark team performed extensive laboratory and real-world durability testing to ensure the system would meet or exceed customer expectations for reliability, comfort and adjustability.

The Air Ride seat is available as a factory-installed upgrade for the 2014 Lazer Z E-Series and Lazer Z S-Series models, or as an option on the Lazer Z X-Series model.
