ATLANTA – Walters Gardens took home first place for their consumer web site, www.PerennialResource.com, at the National Agri-Marketing Association awards ceremony. 

 
The web site had previously received the Merit Award in the Midwest Region in January, where it was then sent on to compete at the national level.  
 
Walters Garden’s site was updated and re-launched a year ago. It aims to provide home gardeners with the information and inspiration they need to garden successfully with perennials. More than 1,800 perennials are profiled on the site, complete with high-quality photos, growing tips and recommended companion plants.  
 
A handy, six-step guide to designing and growing a perennial garden is also included.  Though the site does not contain any advertising, the “Find a Professional” tool connects consumers with Walters’ retail customers nationwide and in Canada through a ZIP code tool and their customers’ web pages posted on the site.
