Block Lawncare, the on-demand marketplace launched in early 2019, has pivoted to a new app, called Check, to help one-truck lawn care operators get organized and more efficient.
Launched four months ago, Check has about 500 registered users, over 90% of which have found Check organically.
Co-founder Matthew Armstrong found that most operators are burned out and tired of how much time they spend on tedious tasks - such as managing schedules, sending invoices and scheduling on a dime. Check allows for operators to save time and streamline communications within one app.
For $20 per month, Check keeps client information in one place and enables them to manage schedules and automate invoices. The app also includes a 1-tap route generation feature. Check offers a 14-day free trial.
"We are very happy with the amount of positive feedback we have received in such a short amount of time," Armstrong said. "We have heard operators say 'Check is just so simple' and 'Your app is the best one I have tried.’"
The Check team is planning to release an app for clients before next spring that will allow operators to securely receive payments through the app and also build a customizable referral program to help grow their business.
While Check was built for lawn care providers, they also have service providers from other industries already using the app to help run their operations including pool services, electrical, plumbing and housekeeping services.
Check is available to download and try from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
