Dr. Allan Armitage will speak to attendees of the iLandscape 2019 conference about what he sees in the herbaceous plant world in his travels to breeders, gardens, and trial grounds.

Now a horticulture professor at the University of Georgia, Armitage has written 17 books and has published informative articles for those in the industry for more than three decades. His segment, called "How Can I Learn What's New When I'm Still Learning What's Old?" will run Jan. 31 from 8 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.

He will share some of the new tips of the industry of herbaceous breeding in the last few years. Also, he will give his opinion on some of the trends he sees in people and plants as he travels the industry.

The class is applied for 1.25 CEUs for Landscape Architects. Armitage will be signing books after his education session. For more information on the conference and to register, visit
