iQ Power Tools announces global expansion

The manufacturer has solidified relationships in Australia and Europe and announced several promotions.

iQ Power Tools, manufacturer of power tools with integrated dust collection systems, announced plans for a global expansion starting in Australia and continuing through to the entire Atlantic.

This global expansion starts with a strategic partnership with Tilers Online in Sydney, Australia. Tilers Online is a family-owned business and is a supplier of tile, landscape and related construction supplies.

iQ Power Tools also welcomed European-based Pritec Vaculyft AB and Nozar Diamond Tools into its strategic plans.

Sweden-Based Pritec Vaculyft AB specializes in lifting and materials-handling products. The company manufactures materials-handling products for the construction sector, focused heavily on paving.

Nozar Diamond Tools, based in Germany, is a supplier of diamond tools and abrasives throughout Europe. for more than 45 years.

“Our global expansion is a direct result of increasing universal demand for health and safety in the construction workplace, when it comes to dust containment.  For years, contractors overseas have been insisting on our products,” said Paul Guth, President of iQ. “We have listened, understood… and, responded! We took the steps to design the tools and then had them tested and certified for the international market.

“We are thrilled to be introducing our dust containment solutions to a global audience. It’s our personal goal to bring our message, our educational resources and our state-of-the-art products to more professional people than ever before,” he said.

iQ also announces the addition of Herman van Breemen as vice president of Europe.  He will be responsible for all European market expansion. Working in the diamond tool industry for more than 30 years, van Breeman brings valuable experience to the company’s European distribution plans.

An iQ Power Tools employee for more than 6 years, Lucy Melin has been promoted to International Sales. She will be responsible for implementing iQ’s strategy which includes spreading the message on the importance of health and safety on the jobsite and supporting iQ’s new international distribution partners. “I am eager to bring our innovative power tools that offer optimal efficiency and safety to the global market,” Melin said. “My career at iQ began when it was a local start-up tools company. Now, to be a key part of its growth and expansion across the globe has been amazing and incredibly rewarding.”

Jim Mackall, iQ’s vice president of sales added, “Entering new markets, we will partner with local professionals who understand how to best communicate with regulations’ specialists.  Concurrently, we will deliver our technology and industry know-how, which, via using our products, ultimately transforms the jobsite into a safer and healthier place. In addition to local training and instruction, iQ has submitted our tools to be evaluated and certified by TNO to ensure iQ Power Tools meets the stringent requirements of the European Community.”
