SANTA MARGARITA, Cali. – Primera has added Kerry Avirett as director of member engagement and supplier relations.
“This new role will add value to our already successful cooperative by engaging members in developing Primera business plans to drive maximum participation in our specialty sourcing opportunities with our key suppliers," said CEO Todd Ferguson.
Avirett started his role earlier this week. He has spent much of his career working in the turf and ornamental business in senior roles for Dow AgroSciences/Corteva, most recently as key account manager and technical product sales. In addition, Kerry has experience in agricultural products, insect identification, and turfgrass disease management.
Kerry holds a Bachelor of Science in entomology from Texas A&M University, as well as a science degree from Schreiner College. He is a certified turfgrass manager, has been a national certified crop advisor, and has held membership in multiple state entomological associations while also currently holding membership in turfgrass associations in a number of states.
