Bartlett Tree Experts, which has 161 offices worldwide, announced two acquisitions this week.
The company expanded its operations in Eastern Pennsylvania with the acquisition of Climb High Tree Service. Additionally, it entered a new market in Western New York with the acquisition of Haskell Tree Service in Buffalo.
CLIMB HIGH:
For 20 years, Climb High has provided quality tree and shrub care services in the surrounding areas. The acquisition strengthens the capabilities of the existing Bartlett Tree Experts’ local office team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; deepening its ability to provide exceptional scientific tree care and customer service for new and existing customers.
“Like Bartlett Tree Experts, Climb High is a family business with a passion for trees and a history of integrity in its arboricultural practices,” said Jim Ingram, President and Chief Operating Officer of Bartlett Tree Experts. “As a leader in our industry for more than 115 years, Bartlett Tree Experts continues to expand our scientific tree care services in new and existing markets with a focus on quality work and customer satisfaction. We’re excited to welcome the Climb High team into our Lancaster, Pennsylvania office.”
Brian Rhoten, head of Bartlett’s Eastern Pennsylvania Division, said that the acquisition allows Bartlett to add an additional arborist representative with tremendous experience in scientific tree and shrub care to the region. Owner Bryan Weaver has joined Bartlett.
Bartlett Tree Experts has a long history of providing tree and shrub care services for customers in Pennsylvania going back to 1921, when company founder F.A. Bartlett opened an office in Bala Cynwyd on the Philadelphia Main Line. In addition to 150 offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, the Company currently operates 10 offices in Pennsylvania.
HASKELL TREE:
Haskell Tree Service was founded by Greg Haskell in 1970. As he prepared to retire and sell his business after 52 years in the industry, Haskell was impressed with Bartlett’s focus on scientific tree and shrub care and the tremendous benefits customers receive thanks to the support of the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories.
“This is an exciting acquisition for Bartlett Tree Experts because it allows us to expand our full range of scientific tree care services in Buffalo, New York while continuing to honor our commitment to exceptional safety, science, technology and business,” said Jim Ingram, Bartlett Tree Experts President and Chief Operations Officer.
“There is no question that the Buffalo area needs a company like Bartlett Tree Experts to provide residential and commercial clients with the highest level of scientific tree care,” said Wayne Dubin, vice president of Bartlett Tree Experts’ Metropolitan Division. “We are so excited to be here.”
Deborah Green, an arborist representative who has been with Bartlett Tree Experts since 1998 and was previously based on Long Island, was named the local manager of Bartlett’s new Buffalo office. With the acquisition, Bartlett also gains an experienced Arborist Representative, Dieter Meier, along with six veteran arborists in the field.
