Elbert Monroe has been appointed general manager of the Denison Group.
Monroe started his career in the green industry after high school in southern Maryland, while working for Melwood as a production manager.
During and after this time, Monroe had a nursery in southern Maryland and now his relationship with Denison started when he met John Denison and soon after, Monroe started his 33-year history with the Denison organization.
During Monroe’s 33 years he has run the estimating and sales department, started the irrigation division, land developing of the nursery facilities, commercial division and now appointed as general manager of operations.
The decision was made by the family and then communicated to the overall employee base that Monroe has the full confidence of the Denison family/executives and the respect of all employees within the organization.
Josh Denison and James Denison will work in conjunction with Monroe in the daily operations along with support from Katelyn Denison, corporate legal counsel, Duane Denison, president and Donna Denison, owner.
