PLYMOTH MEETING, Pa. — BrightView Landscapes acquired Florida’s Girard Environmental Services LLC. BrightView ranked first on Lawn & Landscape’s Top 100 list with $2.2 billion in revenue while Girard ranked 39th with $39 million in revenue.
Girard specializes in commercial landscape maintenance, construction and facility services. The Sanford, Florida-based company operates nine branches, employs nearly 450 people and services more than 800 client sites across Florida.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This marks the second major acquisition for BrightView this year. In January, the company acquired Anaheim, California-based Marina Landscapes, which ranked 16th on Lawn & Landscape’s Top 100 list with an estimated $64 million in 2015 revenue.
“This is a great addition to BrightView and we are pleased to welcome Girard into our family,” said BrightView CEO Andrew Masterman. “Girard is one of the nation’s largest and most respected privately held landscape maintenance companies with a long tradition of innovation and client service.”
“BrightView shares our passion for the craft of landscaping and our commitment to achieving success for our clients and to the safety, well-being and career advancement of team members,” said Rick Girard, Girard's CEO.
King & Spalding LLP served as the legal advisor to BrightView. PCE was the financial advisor to Girard and Shutts & Bowen LLP served as legal advisor.
