CHICAGO – Entrepreneurs released iScape, an app for iOS platforms. The app helps to show landscapers and homeowners alike how a finished project will look before digging begins, saving them on time and money. Landscape professionals can use the app for real-time tools to show customers concepts on-site. This enables them to move quicker to the design, contract and install stages.
With future iScape upgrades, landscape design professionals will be able to run more aspects of their business from the app, including the ability to create customizeable proposals right on the job site.
The iScape app allows both homeowners and landscapers to take pictures of a space and pull that into the app. It lets users bring their design visions to life with colorful plants, pavers and other elements to show how projects will look when they’re done.
The app also inventories and saves all the elements in a design, so users can output the list of products needed to purchase. It provides a palette of plant and hardscape options, as well as design ideas for in-ground gardens, vertical applications for the side of houses or garages, perennial and annual container designs, deck and patio treatments, water and architectural features and in-ground or raised-bed vegetable and herb gardening.
In addition, the app gives users plant names, height-and-width measurements, climate information and direction on whether to locate flowers, trees or shrubs in sun or shade.
About 1.5 million people are currently using the app. The app has a 4+ star rating. It requires iOS 9.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Casual users are allowed one free design stored to the cloud and a suite of images. An iScape consumer subscription provides use of up to 150 images and two designs saved to the cloud for $4.99 per month. Cloud-based iScape Pro subscriptions are available for $19.99 per month or $99.99 per year, providing unlimited image use and design storage plus other unique features.
