CHARLOTTE – Ruppert Landscape has promoted Tommy Dimaio to project manager in its North Carolina landscape construction branch.
Dimaio started with the company in 2006 in its Laytonsville, Md., office as a lead estimator. In his new role, he relocated to Charlotte and is responsible for all aspects of the administration and installation of large or specialty landscape projects for a branch. These responsibilities include supervising field personnel, managing subcontractors, overseeing projects to substantial completion and through the warranty period, communicating with customers and project architects, and maintaining quality standards.
“Tommy’s commitment and diverse areas of expertise make him the ideal individual for this position,” said Bob Jones, vice president and director of landscape installation division. “We are looking forward to his future contributions.”
Ruppert Landscape provides commercial landscape construction and landscape management services from branches in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina. A related company, Ruppert Nurseries, operates a 475-acre wholesale tree nursery in Maryland.
The company also announced that three employees have received professional certifications. Nick Graves, a three year employee of Ruppert Nurseries (the tree growing division of Ruppert Landscape) and Adam Tankersley, a 10 year employee of Ruppert Nurseries recently received their certified professional horticulturist certificate, identifying their knowledge of plant and pest identification and their professionalism in landscape management.
Dan Trocher is a three year employee of Ruppert Landscape’s Maintenance division received his certified landscape technician certification. His completion of this program captures his skill and ability in design, management, maintenance and irrigation.
