ArtisTree Landscape names general manager

The company promoted Joe Mantkowski to the position.

VENICE, Fla. — ArtisTree Landscape Maintenance & Design announced the promotion of Joe Mantkowski to general manager/landscape division. Mantkowski first joined ArtisTree in 2004 and has won numerous design awards for luxury builder homes. He is also a certified ornamental landscape professional, a landscape industry certified horticultural technician and a leadership in energy and environmental design general associate.

“In the past 13 years, Joe has displayed great ability in developing and nurturing his account base,” said ArtisTree CEO Joe Gonzalez. “With the recovery of the market and the aggressive objectives we have set going forward, we’re confident his talents and vision will enhance the strategic direction and profitability of ArtisTree.”

In the new position, Mantkowski will oversee the day-to-day activities of the landscape division, working closely with designers to expand their account bases and enhance existing operational systems. He will also be involved in all managerial aspects, including operations, purchasing, scheduling and customer relations.

Prior to working at ArtisTree, Mantkowski worked in his father’s landscape design and nursery business after earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing from USF Sarasota-Manatee College of Business.

“My dad is the biggest influence in my life,” Mantkowski said. “I saw how much time he put into his work, sitting up late drafting plans, and most of all, the sense of gratification he had when he successfully completed a job. His efforts always stuck with me because I admired all those things and wanted to have the same experiences when I got older.”
