TruGreen will move its 300 Memphis-area employees to a new corporate headquarters by the end of 2015, a move that will solidify the company’s spot in the Memphis business landscape.
“We are very close,” said Amy Simpson, spokesperson for TruGreen. She said the company has “narrowed it down to a few places.”
“Our plan is to move by the end of the year, after our peak season,” she said. “There isn’t any impetus except for our own people to feel that separation (from ServiceMaster) and feel we’re truly our own company.”
The “separation” Simpson refers to is the company’s spinning off from The ServiceMaster Co. at the beginning of 2014.
Simpson said TruGreen – one of the best-known brands in lawn care – has narrowed its search for a new headquarters to three buildings in two general areas, East Memphis and Germantown.
