Greenworks launches its first attachment capable trimmer

The GT 161 is powered by the company's 82V battery system and can be paired with a hedge trimmer, blower, pole saw or cultivator attachment.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Greenworks Commercial introduced its new GT 161 Attachment Capable String Trimmer. The new tool offers universal-attachment capabilities designed to complement the company’s family of 82V lithium-ion tools.  
 
The GT 161 is the first trimmer in Greenworks Commercial’s 82V system that is attachment capable, ensuring that landscape pros can perform a variety of jobs with the power and efficiency of one base tool. The string trimmer base can be paired with a hedge trimmer attachment, blower attachment, pole saw attachment or cultivator attachment affording the ability to transform the tool to whatever users need to complete most heavy-duty yard maintenance projects.

Powered by Greenworks 82V Lithium-ion batteries, the GT 161 trimmer can cut down on operator costs, eliminate gas emissions and reduce noise pollution. The trimmer is designed using Greenworks’ proprietary brushless motor technology for longevity. With its 16” cutting path, the tool is designed to slash through even the heaviest of brush. 

The tool activates with the push of a button for easy power on, power off functionality.  In addition, users can adjust the string length with the the bump feed head.

The new Greenworks Commercial GT 161 Attachment Capable String Trimmer and its assortment of attachments are available now through the Carswell, Carswell OEI, Conniff, Edney, PACE and Steven Willand independent dealer networks.  The GT 161 is priced at $249.00 and comes with a 2-year tool warranty.
