MILWAUKEE – For the third consecutive year, the Equipment Dealers Association (EDA) awarded its Gold Level Award to Briggs & Stratton Corporation for its Ferris commercial mower products.
"Dealers recognized Ferris with exceptional ratings in all categories and we will continue to incorporate their feedback into our product offerings moving forward," said Dan Roche, marketing director – Commercial Products. "Commercial landscapers have come to expect high quality, innovative mowers, parts and dealer support from Ferris. We are committed to providing performance, productivity and durability."
This year, 2,371 dealers participated in EDA's detailed dealer-manufacturer relations survey. Annually, dealers are asked to rate manufacturers on a scale of one to seven, one being extremely dissatisfied and seven being extremely satisfied. Some of the key categories dealers were asked to score were: product quality, parts availability, product technical support, manufacturer response to dealer needs/concerns, warranty payments, product availability, marketing and advertisement, support and return privileges and overall satisfaction.
"We are really excited to see dealers take note of Ferris' ongoing dedication to enhancing its dealer support," said Roche.
EDA members noted improvement in Ferris' warranty procedures and say they're satisfied with warranty payments. The increase in satisfaction comes after Ferris introduced a flexible limited warranty for all commercial riding mowers. In the first two years, Ferris riding mowers have an unlimited hour warranty. After two years, the mower has a 500 hour or four-year warranty, whichever comes first. Ferris walk behind mowers have an unlimited hour warranty for the first two years.
Additionally, respondents indicated they were more satisfied with the level of product technical support than they were in 2016.
Dealers also noted the quality of Ferris mowers, saying they are more than satisfied with the performance and construction in the parts quality category.
