The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) recently elected eight companies to membership in the international trade group fro companies that manufacture and market agriculture- and construction-related equipment services. The new AEM companies are:
- Barko Hydraulics, Superior, Wis. – Manufacturer of forestry loaders
- Buhler Industries, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada – Manufacturer of tractors, balers, farm loaders, box scrapers, rotary cutters, mowers and blades
- Cook Mayer Taylor, Memphis, Tenn. – Provider of industry financial services
- Indentec Solutions, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada – provider of asset tracking services and RDIF systems
- Moving Water Industries Corp., Deerfield Beach, Fla. – Manufacturer of submersible pumps
- Multione CSF SRL, Vincenza, Italy – Manufacturer of utility loaders
- Superior Diesel, Rheinlander, Wis. – Manufacturer of diesel engine power unites and assemblies for off-highway applications
- Surface Systems & Instruments, Sausalito, Calif. – Manufacturer of road test equipment, laser profilers, walking profilers, mobile computers and profilographs, which test asphalt and concrete pavement surface ride quality.
In addition to acknowledging its new members, AEM also recognized its PR Person of the Year, recently.
Publications in Construction and Agriculture (PICA), a subgroup of AEM, selected Jeri Kannenwischer of Charles Machine Works as its Public Relations Person of the Year. Kannenwischer serves as public relations/advertising manager for the Perry, Okla.-based company.
Senior editors at PICA publications choose the Public Relations Person of the Year as an outstanding example of the “best practices” in media relations. The criteria the group uses to rank nominees include reliability, accuracy, quality of information provided, trustworthiness, integrity and level of experience about their company, products and industry. PICA recognized Kannenwischer for her work during 2004, presenting the award at AEM’s annual Marketing Council Seminar held May 15-17, 2005.
