Agrium Advanced Technologies promoted Jeff Novak to vice president, marketing and innovation. The company also expanded its marketing department to include agronomy, communications, marketing, product innovation and regulatory affairs.
In his new role, Novak will be responsible for strategic marketing planning and expanding markets for Agrium Advanced Technologies’ product lines. He will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the marketing and innovation department.
“Jeff’s promotion to vice president and the expansion of the marketing and innovation department are reflections of the growth Agrium Advanced Technologies is experiencing,” said Andrew Mittag, president, Agrium Advanced Technologies. “These changes will allow us to better meet the growing needs of our customers, be more efficient in providing marketing support to our current product lines and improve our ability to plan and launch future products.”
Novak joined Agrium Advanced Technologies in 2009 as senior director of marketing through the CPS acquisition of UAP. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the fertilizer and agricultural products business and has held numerous roles with CPS/UAP including Northern Plains general manager, national accounts director and Loveland Products Inc. marketing director.
Novak holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D.
