To achieve the Certified Landscape Professional designation, a candidate must possess the education and experience necessary to qualify to take the test and master a body of material focused on all aspects of running a landscape business.
The six-hour exam is divided into five sections: Business; Risk, Law and Contracts; Human Resources and Health/Safety; Interior or Exterior Production/Operation and Horticulture; and Sales, Marketing Communications and Public Relations.

Korte, CLP, Urban Environments, Inc., Columbus, OH; and Chris Trower, CLP, Diamond Landscapes, Lexington, KY.
ALCA represents approximately 2,500 professional exterior and interior landscape maintenance, installation and design/ build contracting firms and suppliers nationwide.
