HERNDON, Va. - In an effort to enhance field performance, the Associated Landscape Contractors of America and the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado have collaborated to develop a set of training manuals.
The three manuals, which cover irrigation, installation and maintenance, were written by experts in adult education and contain tables, charts, landscape drawings and photographs. For Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) candidates, these manuals will also serve as a comprehensive study guide for the written and hands-on certification examinations. Because the CLT exam is international in scope, the content has been written so that it is applicable to contractors throughout North America.
The manuals are expected to be available in in time for the Spring 2002 busy season.
ALCA represents more than 2,000 professional interior and exterior landscape maintenance, installation and design/build firms and suppliers. For more information about the training manuals, contact ALCA at 800/395-2522 or visit its Web site.
