HERNDON, Va. – The Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) has made two publications for industry professionals available through the association.
EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION REPORT. First, ALCA has just released the 2000 edition of the ALCA Employee Compensation Report. The report provides interior and exterior landscape contractors with data on green industry compensation practices and policies.
Based on the results of the 2000 ALCA Employee Compensation Survey – which consisted of a sampling of ALCA interior and exterior landscape company members nationwide – the report includes information on both executive and employee compensation, including salaries, bonuses, commissions and perks. It also details fringe benefit packages, such as retirement programs, health insurance and vacations. Data is presented by type of business and by region.
CONTRACTOR SALES GUIDE. Second, ALCA is making the Contractor Sales Guide from Transamerica Distribution Finance Corporation available to its members. The new guide is a companion piece to the exclusive financing program, Residential Landscapes, an ALCA member program that offers long-term financing options for residential design/build and maintenance projects. This program and guide are available to landscape contractors who are members of ALCA.
Transamerica Distribution Finance has teamed with ALCA to offer this revolving credit program. The new guide is a step-by-step information packet on how to use the Residential Landscapes program as a marketing option. Topics include "Understanding Credit," "How to Structure a Sale," "Features and Benefits for the Landscape Salesperson," "Benefits for the Client" and "Sample Scripts."
According to ALCA, landscape contractors using this program are able to offer increased customer service, instant financing and greater purchasing power. Customers have access to low APR, flexible financing options and affordable monthly payments. The Residential Landscapes program handles all administrative and receivable tasks for the contractor while the new Contractor Sales Guide simplifies the implementation process.
The ALCA Employee Compensation Report is available to ALCA members for $45 and to non-members for $75, plus shipping and handling charges. For more information about how to order this report and how to obtain the Contractor Sales Guide, contact ALCA at 800/395-2522 or visit its web site at www.alca.org.
