HERNDON, Va. -- The Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) will get some public exposure on the television series “Bloomin in the Garden,” the association recently announced.
ALCA’s logo and an association statement is appearing on a billboard during the show’s opening and closing credits, according to an ALCA news release.
The contract is effective for 26 weeks of taping, which began in April and runs through September, says ALCA spokeswoman Lynn Meloche. The show has already begun airing in select markets, Meloche says.
The opening statement reads, “Recommended viewing by the Associated Landscape Contractors of America,” and the closing statement tells viewers “To find a landscape contractor in your area, visit www.alca.org.
This 30-minute program is hosted by George “Bloomin” Newman who covers issues from design to installation and addresses new gardening concepts, problems and remedies.
“Bloomin in the Garden” reaches more than 77 million households via several networks, including Comcast New England, Comcast Mid-Atlantic, Good Life Network, Healthy Living Network, Inspiration Network, Fox 56/WB and the Men’s Channel.
