The American Green Zone Alliance has listed the Stihl RZA battery-powered zero-turn mower platform on its AGZA AFTC Certification, joining just two other companies in this category.
Stihl has focused on meeting the challenge of regulatory pressures and growing demand for quality battery-powered lawn and garden tools. This includes an evolving manufacturing base and supply chain shifting towards battery electric technology for the green industry.
AGZA has subjected multiple Stihl RZA mowers to field-testing environments to ensure an independent assessment of this line's performance, durability and longevity. Stihl RZA mowers were placed in various regions nationwide, including the West Coast, Midwest and Southeast.
Additionally, AGZA was able to visit and verify the use of Stihl RZA mowers in the Northeast, parts of Colorado, Texas and Northern California. Testing in these regions allows for operation in different temperature extremes, moisture and humidity levels, dusty environments, and provided insights into contrasting attitudes towards battery electric technologies for outdoor power equipment.
