The American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) and OFA – an Association of Floriculture Professionals, are announcing a partnership to exchange member pricing benefits for key programs in 2009. Under the agreement, OFA members will be able to attend the ANLA Management Clinic, Feb. 6-9, 2009 at ANLA member pricing; and ANLA members will be able to attend the OFA Short Course, July 11-14, 2009 at OFA member pricing.
“With the challenging economic climate facing both our organizations’ members, this is an opportunity to provide the education they need to succeed in the year ahead,” says ANLA President, Greg Schaan, Imperial Nurseries (CT).
Beginning Nov., OFA members will be able to register for the ANLA Management Clinic through the website, www.managementclinic.org. The ANLA Management Clinic is a business education event, featuring both nationally and internationally recognized speakers, as well as industry experts, held annually in Louisville, KY. OFA members will see familiar faces like Stan Pohmer, speaking about strategies for bridging current demographic trends, and new faces, like George Koziarz, who will address speaking to your bank about credit this spring.
ANLA members will receive information regarding the 2009 OFA Short Course, held each year in Columbus, OH. The OFA Short Course is the premier floriculture event in the United States, and annually draws approximately 10,000 attendees to the 1,500-booth trade show and educational program. For more information visit the OFA Web site, www.ofa.org.
“This partnership is a welcome opportunity to serve the needs of our members in the challenging year ahead," says OFA President Bobby Barnitz of Bob’s Market and Greenhouses (WV). "It also allows both organizations to foster the working relationship we developed during the 2008 OFA Short Course, which was host to ANLA’s 2008 Annual Meeting.”
