Aquascape announced the dates for Pondemonium 2007, a water garden industry business and networking event. From July 14-22, distributors, contractors, and retailers from across the globe will come together for a week-long event designed to help grow their water garden businesses.

“We’ve got so much on tap for this year’s Pondemonium that it makes my head spin,” Greg Wittstock, founder and CEO of Aquascape, said. “When you get the best contractors and retailers on the continent together for one full week, the ideas just fly. This will be the best Pondemonium ever.”
The week begins and ends with the North American Water Garden Society’s Pond Tour North America, as attendees will have the chance to tour ponds in the Chicago area. Monday and Tuesday, the learning begins with a down-and-dirty lesson in pond building. Standard and Advanced Build-A-Pond Days are perfect for builders of all skill levels as participants are urged to grab a shovel and build with the Aquascape crew.
Full-Day Boot Camps will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, with attendees honing their skills in areas such as sales and marketing, the ins and outs of fish care, human resources, and more! On Thursday and Friday, everyone gets a dose of schooling at the sixth annual Pond College. Complete with courses for different skill levels and business models, you can’t beat the education you get at Pondemonium’s featured event!
For those using Pondemonium as their vacation, Cross-Country Golf will produce fun and laughs on the links. But don’t expend all your energy on the golf course because the annual Waterfall Building Contest adds a new twist this year, allowing participants to build anything that holds water, including ponds, Pondless Waterfalls, container water features, and more!
On Saturday, everyone gets a chance to see what ponds look like in the Chicago area! Distributors, contractors, and retailers are invited to drive themselves or hop on a guided half-day bus tour to see ponds built by Aquascape and other local contractors.
There will also be time at Pondemonium for networking. Whether it’s finding a spot at lunch next to a contractor with a budding business like yours, or spending time in between classes with a retailer who is where you want to be, extracurricular events include a movie night, dueling pianos and the Pondemonium BBQ Blow-out Bash.
