Arbor Works Targeted by OSHA

It's never too late to prepare for an OSHA inspection, according to Arbor Works Tree Care's Joshua Jones.

DENVER, Colo - Arbor Works Tree Care was hit by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) with a job-site inspection, which they were originally told involved six citations and in excess of $20,000 in fines, reports company President Joshua Jones.

The company's crew was videotaped for 30 minutes before OSHA representatives began interviewing employees who were working on a high-profile municipal job at the time.

Through the process of dealing with this incident, Jones has learned there are 16 OSHA inspectors convering the Denver, Colo. metropolitan area and the northern Front Range. "Tree companies and other landscape category firms have become the target for OSHA inspections," he reports.

Jones participated in the Associated Landsacpe contractors of Colorado's workshop on How to Prepare for an OSHA Inspection on March 3 to share his experience with other contractors in the area.
